Pilipit Shakoy Recipe


  • 500 grams all purpose flour
  • 125 ml evaporated milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • oil
  • 1 cup white sugar

Pilipit Shakoy Recipe

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour salt and egg. Mix well.
  2. Add the milk.
  3. Mix well. Knead until blended and smooth in texture.
  4. Put back in a bowl and cover with a damp cloth for 30 minutes.
  5. Divide dough into 4 equal portions.
  6. Roll and flatten each portion.
  7. Cut into desired sizes preferably a pen size length and thickness.
  8. Twirl each other and seal each end.
  9. Place in a flat surface or dish, cover with damp cloth again for another 15 minutes.
  10. Deep fry the twist until golden brown.
  11. Drain excess oil.
  12. Roll in sugar.
  13. Enjoy!
