My Dad's Pork Ribs Recipe


  • 1 kg pork spare ribs
  • 1 tsp crushed chilli paste {dad says masterfoods is the business}
  • 2 tbsp BBQ sauce
  • 2 tbsp tomato sauce
  • juice of 1 lime
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 cup orange juice

My Dad's Pork Ribs Recipe

  1. Place all ingredients in a large container and marinate the ribs overnight.
  2. The next day, preheat the oven to 150 degrees Celsius and bake the ribs in a lined baking tray, covered in foil for 3 hours, reserving the remaining marinade from the baking tray.
  3. Remove the ribs from the oven and allow to cool slightly. They could be completely chilled here in the fridge until ready to grill.
  4. To complete cooking, grill the ribs over a high heat on the BBQ, brushing with the remaining marinade while turning multiple times until warm through and slightly crusty.
