Loureen’s Ground Pork Torta Recipe

  • 1lb (500g) ground pork
  • 1/2 lb (250g) green peas (frozen)
  • 1/2 lb (250g) potatoes, cubed
  • 1/2 lb (250g) fresh tomatoes, steamed 2 min then pealed and finely chopped
  • 2 carrots finely chopped
  • 2 medium onions finely chopped
  • 2 cloves of minced garlic
  • juice of one lime (10 calamansi)
  • cooking oil
  • salt & ground pepper

Loureen’s Ground Pork Torta Recipe


  1. saute garlic and onions in a frying pan until fragrant
  2. add in the ground pork and saute until slightly brown
  3. mix in the chopped tomatoes & let simmer for about a min
  4. add the peas and potatoes and cook about 5 min
  5. season with salt & Pepper (to taste)
  6. mix in the lime or calamansi juice and simmer for 3 min
  7. serve with rice
  8. garnish with calamansi or lime wedges
