Loureen’s Marinated Chicken With Bean Sprouts Recipe

  • Chicken & Bean Sprouts
  • 2 lbs (1kilo) Chicken Legs
  • 1 lb (500g) Bean Sprouts
  • Dry Rub
  • 1/2 Cup Corn Starch
  • Ground Pepper (to taste)
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • Marinade
  • 1/4 Cup Soy Sauce
  • 8 oz (250 ml) Sprite or 7UP
  • 1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
  • Cooking Oil

Prep Work
  1. Wash chicken & dry with paper towels
  2. Make 3-5 small incisions into each piece of chicken
  3. Mix dry rub ingredients together in a Small Mixing Bowl
  4. Mix Marinade ingredients in a Small Mixing Bowl until all the sugar dissolves
  5. Rub the chicken with the dry rub, making sure to get plenty in the incisions
  6. Place the chicken in the marinade and let sit for 8-24 hrs in the fridge
  1. Preheat oven to 350 F 180 C
  2. Shallow fry the chicken in a deep frying pan until slightly brown on both sides
  3. Transfer to a 2 Quart Baking Dish
  4. Pour the remainder of the marinade over the chicken
  5. Bake for 30 min
Ten Min Before The Chicken Comes Out Of The Oven
  1. Wash beansprouts and let drain
  2. Saute bean sprouts and garlic for 2-3 min
  3. Remove the chicken from the oven
  4. place beansprouts over the chicken
  5. Serve with rice
