- 800 grams potatoes, peeled and cut in quarters
- 50 grams butter or margarine
- 150 ml milk
- salt and pepper
- garlic powder or grounded fresh garlic
- Boil potatoes until tender. Drain.
- Mashed potato until its lump free.
- Add the margarine and milk, mix well.
- Add the garlic powder.
- Salt and pepper to taste.
- Add extra margarine until consistency is just right which is not to dry or not too runny.
- Serve with gravy.
